Just finished audiobook of “Treasure Island”, while out for morning run. Superbly read by Timothy West. Have read the book twice before and it’s so good I’m sure I’ll read it again. Remember seeing a film version which I’ll have to look up (I also love animated Treasure Planet)

So much negativity about the NHS that I was dreading the first GP appointment I’ve had in years but it was *amazing*. The doctor was lovely and helpful and I am so glad we still have this incredible service for free.

Have recently discovered the joy / convenience of cooking entire meals in my rice cooker - this is a vegetable “fried” rice with very little oil made by cooking frozen vegetables along with rice with chicken stock, garlic, ginger, soy, Chinese cooking wine, sesame oil.
